STC worked with the engineering team engaged by GSK to develop the design for a high containment manufacturing facility for making potent oral dose products.  The manufacturing plant was located in North East China.  A number of options were investigated before the final location was selected.  The advice included selection of the process equipment which included isolation technology and clean in place ability.  The layout worked on a modular basis so that a number of process rooms were grouped behind a containment boundary with the appropriate airlocks and change rooms.
